Business Process Management Certification Requirements

Villanova Certification Requirements:

• Complete Villanova’s 100% Online BPM Courses (details below)
• Complete course project(s)
• Pass a comprehensive exam

Certification can be attained by completing the three-course track, any projects in the three (3) required courses, and a comprehensive exam. Successful completion of all of these elements will result in the student achieving status as a Certified Professional in Business Process Management (CPBPM).

The exam is two (2) hours in duration and consists of 50 questions. It will be a comprehensive exam that draws on knowledge and information from all three courses. A minimum score of 70 is required on the exam. Recertification will be required every three years.

Certification Policy: Students who do not pass the exam are permitted to retake it two times at the retake fee (maximum of three failures). If a student fails the exam three times, they will be required to retake the requisite course at the full tuition rate prior to retaking the exam. A maximum of three months is permitted between retakes. Students who do not attempt the certification exam within one year of taking the course or do not retake the exam with the three-month time frame will be required to retake the requisite course prior to sitting for the exam.

Recertification

Upon successful completion of the Certificate in Business Process Management program’s three (3) required courses and a [separate] certification exam, you will attain the Certified Professional in Business Process Management (CPBPM) credential from Villanova University.

Recertification can be achieved by completing 2 additional Villanova courses, not previously taken. Eligible courses are outlined below.

Re-certification policy: Recertification will be required every three years and a $50 recertification fee will apply. Please note the Villanova courses permitted toward your recertification. Two courses will need to be taken toward recertification.
