Ram is a strategic business executive and thought leader with over 20 years of experience in private industry and public service. Ram believes that leadership is a lifestyle promoting trust, accountability, performance, positive collaboration, and continuous learning. He has coached and mentored several colleagues and industry professionals in growing the leadership potential and domain expertise in IT Governance, IT Program, Project & Portfolio Management, Performance Management, Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Process Maturity, Six Sigma, and ITIL.
Ram is currently a Senior IT Program Manager at a leading municipal utility in the U.S.A., who built the BI practice from concept to strategy and led the Corporate Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence program from vision to implementation. The DW&BI program implemented several projects delivering many products and services, and answering multiple business needs from various business units across the city. He also founded and chaired the Enterprise Data Council, a business and IT collaborative governance initiative to effectively manage the Enterprise Data Assets. Ram helped develop DW&BI strategy and implementation roadmaps across several city departments and started deriving incremental benefits from the culmination of implementation and governance into a DW&BI competency center model.
Ram holds M.S. in Computer Science, B.S. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and several professional certifications including PgMP, PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, ITIL, CBIP, and OCP. Ram has presented at several professional conferences and has actively volunteered for many professional and nonprofit organizations.
