Human Resource Management Staff & Faculty
Angela Francesco, J.D. , received her Bachelor’s Degree from Villanova University and her law degree from Temple University School of Law; she is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience in Human Resource Management. Her positions in for-profit corporations have included Vice President of Human Resources with overall H. R. responsibility for pharmaceutical Research and Development scientists and staffs in the U.S., U.K., and France. She also has experience in not-for-profit academic institutions, where she was responsible for recruiting, policy development, employee relations and training and development. She is a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and an adjunct Instructor at Villanova University, where she teaches courses in Management, Human Resources and Labor Relations to graduate and undergraduate students. She also teaches in Villanova’s Department of Continuing Studies in their Human Resources Certificate programs, both on site and on line. Angela also consults on a variety of Human Resources Management issues
Neil J. Horgan - Vice President of Manchester Partners International is a seasoned Career Transition Consultant who has served as an executive with a major oil company, where he held positions such as Director of Sales Training, Director, Corporate-Wide Compensation & Benefits, and Vice President, Human Resources for its major subsidiary. Neil is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (national and Delaware chapters) and a former Board Member of the Philadelphia chapter. Neil has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Delaware.
Michael R. Losey, SPHR, CAE, - is the Past-President and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Before being named to the Society's top position in 1990, Losey served 30 years in management and executive-level positions with two Fortune 50 organizations. Losey holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's of Business Administration degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Michigan. In addition, he earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Certified Association Executive (CAE). He is a subject matter expert in human resource management and association management. He is an SME author for both the SHRM human resource Learning System as well as ASAE's Essentials of the Profession.
Shawn Mott, MS HRD, PHR, Shawn is an Organizational Development Program Designer at Independence Blue Cross (IBC) in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, he designs and delivers competency-based courses for the corporate university and customized programs on communication and teambuilding for intact work groups. He also is a guest speaker for the Villanova PHR/SPHR prep course.
Stephen W. Oliver, M.A. - is a training, organizational development, and human resources consultant with 20 years experience, primarily in the health care field. Stephen teaches alternating semesters in the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and in The Fox School of Business at Temple University. Stephen holds a graduate degree in Human Resources Development from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia and is a current local and national member of the Society for Human Resources Management.
Melody Templeton, MS, Human Resource Development - is a nationally known speaker and consultant with several hundred clients from the Fortune 500 to small family owned businesses. She has taught on the faculties of Villanova University, Drexel University, The Wharton MBA program and The Wharton Executive MBA program. She has worked with Project managers for nearly 20 years and even admits to starting her career as a COBOL programmer! She has a B.S. in Communication and Psychology from Illinois State University and an M.S. in Human Resource Development from Villanova University.
Susan Warner, ESQ., SPHR - is President of Human Resource Trouble Shooters and a nationally known speaker who has taught Compensation for St. Joseph's University and Strategic Human Resources for Penn State-Ambler. Susan's has received the national SHRM Award for Professional Excellence, the highest honor given by SHRM and the SHRM national Capital Award for outstanding achievement and contribution to the government affairs program. She is the only individual to ever receive both of these national awards from SHRM. Susan has been a member of the SHRM National Training & Development Committee and is Past-President of the Board of Governors for the SHRM Consultants Forum. Susan is founding President and Board Member of the SEPA SHRM Chapter, as well as Deputy Director for the SHRM PA State Council and Legislative Affairs Director for SHRM Area I.
Susan has a law degree from Temple University School of Law. Her former human-resource-related employment includes positions as Vice President of Human Resources, St. Mary Hospital of Langhorne; Managing Director, H. R. and Administrative Services, United Way, Southeastern Pa.; Director, H.R., Community Home Health Services of PA and Manager Employment & EEO/AA, Hahnemann University and Hospital.
Terry Welford - President of The Welford Group, brings over 20 years of experience in training and development, including training positions with Philip Morris, Glaxo SmithKline and Air Products. She holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Relations from Cornell University, is a Certified Training Director and is a certified facilitator for AchieveGlobal and BlessingWhite, as well as a qualified Myers-Briggs practitioner. Terry is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the Philadelphia Regional Organization Development Network, the College and University Personnel Association, and the Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association.
